Dark Chocolate has MUFAs - They're GOOD 4 u!

Did you know that MUFAs are good for you?!

You may be asking, “What the heck is a MUFA?”  MUFA stands for MonoUnsaturated Fatty Acids and are found in foods like olives, avocados, nuts & seeds, and dark chocolate.  Research shows that having plenty of MUFAs in your diet can decrease the risk for breast cancer, help to reduce cholesterol, lower the risk of heart disease and stroke, help you lose weight & reduce belly fat, and help lessen the pain rheumatoid arthritis causes. So eat your MFUAs!

Try this easy to make MUFA and taste-bud friendly Almond Clusters.  They’re good for you!

MUFA Friendly Dark Chocolate Sea Salted Almond Clusters
Coarsely chop 1 cup raw, unsalted almonds
Melt ¾ cup DARK chocolate chips
To melt in microwave , cook on high 1 minute, stir, then 20 seconds, stir, 20 seconds, stir … untill chocolate is smooth. Stir in almonds & drop by heaping teaspoon on to a wax paper lined cookie sheet, sprinkle with sea salt if desired, and cool in fridge till set. Then lick the spoon & bowl.
These might possibly necessitate the renaming of MUFA to: Mine! Unequivocally! Forget Asking!
Three clusters contain approximately 8 grams of carbs, 3 grams of protein, 12 grams of good for you fat and 153 calories.
