8 Days and Counting! Low Carb Dark Chocolate Cake



Flourless Chocolate Cake


This decadent cake has a deep, dark chocolate flavor. The original version is chock full of calories, fat and carbs. This slimed down version has only 6 carbs for one piece. 

1/2 cup butter
1/4 dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup Splenda
3 eggs

Preheat oven to 350.  Line an 8 inch cake pan with wax paper.  In medium bowl microwave butter and chocolate 45 seconds to 1 minute. Stir until smooth.  Add cocoa powder and mix well.  Stir in sugar and Splenda.  In small bowl whisk eggs until blended.  Add eggs to chocolate mixture, stirring as you add them.  Pour batter into prepared pan.  Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness by inserting a knife - it should come out clean. Cake will be moist but not gooey. Cool and cut into 12, rich slices.
